HELP DISADVANTAGED GIRLS PLAY SOFTBALL

Description
Hi, my name is Pi Stephenson and I’m raising money to help disadvantaged young girls play softball. Recently I played in an out of state tournament where my cousins saw me play softball. It was the first time they had ever been to a softball game, let alone a showcase tournament for college prospects. They became inspired and proudly announced, “We want to play like Pi!”
Inspiration
Unfortunately, my Aunt couldn’t afford to pay all their fees and so my family sponsored them. It was surprising how much it costs to outfit a new player with gear (e.g. glove, bat, helmet, bag, softball pants, etc.) and pay the league fees. I realized that paying for softball gear and fees is a challenge for many families and many of our future all-stars may not even get a chance to play this game I love so much.
Taking Action
I started the Play Like Pi Foundation (Pi stands for Power and Integrity) to help disadvantaged young girls play softball. I hope to raise money for young girls to play softball that otherwise wouldn’t be able to. I hope you’ll help me introduce the game of softball to these young girls so they too can play!
All proceeds go to providing gear and league fees.
